Building Regulation Part "B" Fire Engineering Solution

Preliminary Fire Risk Assessment

Our specialized task is to produce a preliminary risk assessment as part of a building regulation submission.

How We Do It:

Modern building regulations ( Part B ) now allow for fire risk assessment to be part of a submission should standard guidance or codes of practice inhibit the planned use of a building.

Many clients find that their architect's submission does not fit comfortably into the exact requirements of building regulation guidance; in fact, the planned use of the building is at odds with the regulators strict adherence to the code of practice.

Our task FOR YOU may include -

Working with / or negotiation with: building control officers from local councils.  In order to put forward our client's viewpoint in a structured and professional manner.
Working with / or negotiation with: an approved inspector: to further a client's needs.

The risk assessment would include:

1. The probability of a fire occurring.
2.  The likely fire severity.
3.  The ability of a structure to resist the spread of fire and smoke.
4.  The consequential danger to people in and around the building.

This report would be initially confidential and full discussion with the client / or the client's representative ( example: architect ) would be essential.
